ACA Leadership Change

The Board of Airport Coordination Australia would like to announce that Mr. Ernst Krolke will retire as Chief Executive Officer of ACA on the 31st of December 2014, and that Ms. Petra Popovac will succeed him as the new CEO.

In making the announcement, the ACA Board would like to acknowledge the contribution that Ernst has made to the company, and the slot community in his 16 years of service to ACA. Ernst has been a great ambassador for slot coordination not only in his time with ACA, but also for the 36 years he was with Qantas. Ernst has been a part of IATA Slot committees for over 30 years and has a large impact on the way coordination is conducted throughout the world. His vast knowledge and experience will still be utilized by ACA, as he will step into an advisory role with company as of the 1st of January 2015.

Ms. Popovac joined the company in December 2003, and is currently the Head of Slot Management and holds a Masters degree in Commerce. The board has decided that Petra is the right person to lead ACA as she has a strong emphasis on building on the company’s key strengths of providing clients with a flexible coordination product and finding ways to further improve the customer experience. One important way is the introduction of e-airportslots for all runway coordinated airports, which is due to be completed and operational by November 2014.
